About The Event
New to beekeeping? Not sure where to start? Dip your toes into Beekeeping with FLF's Data Activist and Beekeeper, Kasey Neiss. This class covers the basics of honey bee biology and life cycle, including a hands-on demonstration with an inactive (empty) hive. We walk through how to get started with bees, including how to get bees, equipment you need, and planning your apiary. Kasey is never going to overlook history - here's a non-eurocentered overview. Get hands-on experience with an empty beehive and leave class with your very own bee hive tool!
Tickets are $30. Scholarships available, no one will be turned away. To request a scholarship, email info@frontlinefarming.org
