Farm Crew (Sister Gardens)

Type: Non-Exempt, Full Time, Seasonal Hourly Position

Hours: Weekend Availability during farm season, 40 hours per week

Rate: $19/hour. Plus full health and dental benefits, paid sick leave, paid professional development, and vegetables and groceries.

Start Date: ASAP

Role: Under the general direction of the Farm Manager, this position works in all aspects of sustainable food production. The role includes: farm site management including following crop plans, on-site volunteer coordination and guidance, crop health and pest management, and general farm duties. This position is empowered to ensure their site functions at peak production and works in companionship and collaboration with farmers and our other sites. Must be aligned with the mission of FrontLine Farming and confidently communicate about programs, services, goals and values. Bilingual SNAP Outreach Coordinator

Type: Spanish/English Bilingual, Part time, Non exempt, Hourly

Hours: 10-15 hours per week

Rate: $18 training wage, up to $20

Start Date: ASAP

Role: This position will assist FLF with increasing food access through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, aka Food Stamps) outreach, education and applications. This position will assist Spanish speakers with SNAP applications for FLF. This position will provide case management services related to food insecurity and basic needs in order to discuss SNAP benefits with students, including assistance with SNAP applications and follow up calls. This position will also need to work independently to identify opportunities to contact SNAP-eligible individuals. Training will be provided.
