Herbal Knowledge: Digestive System Holistic Seminary Taught By: Akil-Kuumba Kelley, Frontline Farming’s Clinical Herbalist

The internal skin, and second brain are some fun ways of referring to the miles of guts within our bellies. However it's not just the tummy, the teeth are known as the gates of good health. By looking at the age of the digestive tract we can gather tons about overall health and well being. Not only this but this so-called second brain produces more serotonin than anywhere else in the body. Therefore our stomachs directly affect our mental health. Just like our skin, or stomach touches the outside world with almost no processing. Yet a hole here is much more disruptive than on the skin. A strong gut is paramount in assimilating minerals, vitamins, and herbal medicines into the body. Not only this but moving waste out of the body is vital to avoiding chronic illness. Lets travel the maze of the digestive tract, discovering the pathologies along the way. As well as learn the medicines that we can use to support our gut health. However, when it comes to the gut we cannot avoid the diets, and lifestyle choices that can heal, and destabilize our second brain. Look forward to seeing you, as we digest the information together.
