Beginning Farmer Training Programs

Frontline understands in the inherent value of increasing the number of community garden leaders and young farmers who are confident in their food production skills. We offer a 2-Week Immersion in April/May and a Full Season Work Experience where you would work as a full-time farmer for the whole season.

SPRING Farm Immersion Program

Frontline Farming’s 2-week Farm Immersion program focuses on beginning skills to support aspiring BIPOC farmers and gardeners who seek to build and manage a sustainable farm.  Our hope is that participation in this program will provide basic skills in regenerative farming as people build on their own connections and commitments to community and personal food sovereignty.

2024 Farm Managers

In coordination with other Farm Managers, this position will supervise one of our three farm sites including crop plans and implementation, on-site team management, crop health and pest management, volunteer and programmatic schedules, food harvesting and packing, compost production and purchasing for their site.

Every summer we need strong and caring humans to steward our farms with us through the hails of spring, heat of summer, and hustle of autumn.

Farmer Knowledge Class Series

Since FrontLine Farming began in 2018, we have offered on-off farm clases throughout the growing season to help community members achieve liberation through increasing their farm and garden knowledge on different topics. These clase content is designed for students aged 18 or older. The class topics are chosen based on yearly community surveys and are directed by the knowledge we hold as farmers and the desire from the community to gain certain types of knowledge and skills.
